Now, in the United States, taxi cabs are becoming traffic hazards. This is not because American taxi drivers are particularly bad. It is because their cars are particularly entertaining. Many new taxi cabs in the U.S. have brightly lit, animated signs on their roofs -- broadcasting the scores of ongoing sports games, giving current news headlines, and advertising commercial products. Many other drivers on the road get distracted by these signs and may not drive as attentively as they should. Be on the lookout for these taxis as a pedestrian and as a driver, please keep your eyes on the road.
