President Barack Obama told Puerto Rico residents Tuesday that he’s committed to the success and self-determination of the island, words that could help him with Puerto Rican voters across all states in the 2012 election. Obama is the first US president who visits the US territory in 50 years.

The quarrels calling for
Congressman Anthony Weiner to resign is growing louder. President Obama told NBC’s Today Show that he would step down if he was in Weiner shoes. Weiner who has taken a leave of absence to see treatment says he will not quit.

Former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman says he is joining the Republican presidential race. Huntsman served as Obama's ambassador to China until this spring. He plans to make a formal announcement next week.

A four-year-old Australian girl is still the latest rising star on New York’s art scene. Buyers are lining up at this trendy gallery just to get a glimpse of the Aelita Andre's work. At least one of her paintings has already sold for more than $6,000.
