1. 1've booked a room here.我在这儿预订了一个房间。
句中的book为动词,意为“预订”,又如:Nowadays, people can book tables in restaurants online. 如今,人们可以在网上预订餐位。

2. Charlie barked. 查理叫了一声。
句中的动词bark指“犬吠”。
注意:表示人或动物喊叫时,所用的动词往往不同,如表示“某人喊叫”一般用shout,表示“鸟鸣”用sing,表示“狮吼”用roar等。

3. It sounded like ‘Yes’.
它(查理的叫声)听起来就像在说“是的”。
sound like意为“听起来像……”,后接名词。类似结构有seem like(就像……”)
如: The minutes seemed like hours.这几分钟过得就像几小时一样漫长。
常见的系动词如look、sound、feel、seem等后都可加介词like。

4. She led them personally to their room.她亲自将他们带到了房间。
lead somebody to some place意为“把……带到……”。
