周一，在中国北部内蒙古自治区通辽市的奈曼旗，以沙漠为主题的体育赛事为特色的那达慕节拉开了序幕。

The Naadam festival, featuring desert-based sports events, kicked off on Monday in Naiman Banner, Tongliao city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.


为期三天的艺术节以赛马、骆驼赛、射箭、蒙古摔跤和其他活动为特色，吸引了来自该地区的数百名参与者。

The three-day festival, that features horse racing, camel racing, archery, Mongolian wrestling and other events, attracted hundreds of participants from around the region.


游客可以参加摄影比赛，欣赏传统的歌舞节目，并在节日期间品尝蒙古美食。

Tourists can participate in a photo contest, enjoy traditional singing and dancing programs as well as discover Mongolian cuisine during the festival.


奈曼旗，位于科尔沁沙地的边缘，也是中国最大的沙地，已经组织了三次这样的那达慕节。

Naiman Banner, located on the edge of the Horqin Sandy Land, also China's largest sandy area, has organized three Naadam festivals of this kind.
