# 曾经和非洲是连在一起的

说来也巧，其实南美大陆和非洲大陆原本就是连在一起的。

看西方版的世界地图就能发现，大西洋两岸这两块大陆的边缘基本可以拼合，其中那个显眼的直角就在巴西。

Brazil was once connected to West Africa. If you look at the shape of Brazil and the Eastern side of the South American continent, it’s easy to see how it once was attached to West Africa. Before this, they were both parts of the supercontinent Gondwana. The split happened about 140 million years ago. 
巴西曾经与西非相连。如果你看一下巴西和南美大陆东侧的形状，很容易看出它曾经是如何与西非相连的。在此之前，它们都是冈瓦纳超大陆的一部分。它们之间的分裂发生在大约1.4亿年前。
