巴西不管是从人口算还是从国土面积算，都是世界第五。

另外，它的经济在全球范围内也是很不错的，现在排第九，和中国、俄罗斯、南非、印度5个国家合称“金砖五国” BRICS

Brazil is the world’s fifth largest country by both population (approximately 210 million) and geographical area (3,287,597 square miles). It borders every other South American nation, barring Ecuador and Chile, and makes up 47 per cent of the continent.
不论是按人口（约2.1亿）还是按地域范围（3287597平方英里）来计算，巴西都是世界第五大国家。除厄瓜多尔和智利外，它与其他所有的南美国家接壤，占南美大陆面积的47%。
