中学历史课本让我们熟悉了“奥匈帝国”这个名词，而匈牙利曾经就是这个大帝国的核心部分。

匈牙利是欧洲最古老的几个国家之一，比英法德都要古老，这让它成了全球很多人的旅游目的地，其中的一个热门去向当然就是首都——布达佩斯 Budapest

Hungary is one of the oldest countries in Europe. It was founded in A.D. 896, before France, Germany, or England. Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has existed as a settlement from the Bronze and Iron Age, but it didn’t become Budapest until 1873 when three separate cities, Pest, Buda, and Óbuda (Old Buda) were combined to make one city. Budapest is nicknamed “City of Baths.”
匈牙利是欧洲最古老的国家之一。它建于公元896年，比法国、德国和英国都要早。匈牙利的首都布达佩斯从青铜器和铁器时代就已经存在了，但直到1873年佩斯、布达和奥布达（旧布达）这三个独立的城市合并为一个城市后才成为布达佩斯。布达佩斯的绰号是“澡堂之城”。
