Classes are canceled at a Wisconsin high school today after a hostage situation ended with a wounded student gunman. Polices say the 15-year-old shot himself as polices entered a classroom where he was holding 23 students and a teacher hostage. The students and teacher were unharmed.

President Barack Obama meets the new congressional leadership at the White House today. Speaker-elect John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell say any compromises on tax cuts or spending will have to be on their terms. It's the first meeting between the president and GOPs since the midterm elections.

The Pentagon will release results of its much-anticipated "Don't ask, don't tell" survey today. The study reportedly shows a large majority of respondents feel that gay troops could serve openly without hurting the military's ability to fight.

And a Chinese toddler learned a lesson while playing hide and seek. Three-year-old Xiaofang had been playing with his mother when he got trapped in a washing machine. Firefighters had to work for two hours to free the boy.
