On a highway in Buffalo,New York, an accident snarls traffic, stranding people for hours in heavy snow. The city got some two feet of snow, closing schools and cutting power.

At Zoo Atlanta, a good check-up for a baby giant panda born about a month ago. The cub measures just over a foot and weighs in at 2.2 pounds.
