A jury has found a 23-year-old man guilty of murder in the deaths of baseball player Nick Adenhart and two others in a drunk driving crash. Adenhart died in April last year, just hours after pitching six scoreless innings in his season debut with the L.A. Angels. Andrew Gallo faces the possibility of life in prison.

Police say a South Florida man who once told his estranged wife that she would end up in the morgue killed the woman and four of his stepchildren early Monday before taking his own life. Forty-one-year-old Patrick Dell also shot a 15-year-old boy, but he is expected to survive.

Southwest Airlines is expanding its market share. The company has agreed to buy AirTran in a 1.4-billion-dollar deal, giving the low-fare airline a bigger presence in the Northeast, Atlanta and the Caribbean.

A Costa Rican fisherman and his 980-pound best friend are becoming quite a tourist attraction. The odd couple first met twenty years ago when the man nursed the crocodile back to health from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
