Running late？ 就是“来不及了吗？”，Running不必翻成“跑”，整句是个习惯用语，就是“来不及了吗？”。

Escalator 是指电扶梯的意思，如果是升降式的电梯，在美国称为elevator，在英国则称为lifter.也因此，escalate, elevate, lift这三个字当动词，都是上升的意思。

第三句中用了三个动词，slip,　trip, 与fall.

Slip是滑倒的意思，也就是slide.It means to （cause to） move easily and without interruption over a surface. 就是在一个表面上很容易移动而且没有摩擦力，所以就容易滑倒了！

Trip作名词一般大家都知道是旅行的意思，但也可以当动词，It means to lose your balance after knocking your foot against something when you are walking or running, or to cause someone to do this. 意思是在你的脚踢到某件东西之后使你失去了平衡，或造成某个人陷入这种状况，所以是自己绊倒或使人绊倒的意思。举个例句：That cable is dangerous. Someone might trip over it.那条电鑬线很危险，有人可能会因而绊倒。

“Fall” means to come down onto the ground or from a high position to a lower position. Fall就是摔倒或从高处摔下来的意思。
