The death of silent screen sex idol Rudolph Valentino has put his fans into a massive, often hysterical state of mourning. Though gossip mongers had labeled the Italian born Cassanova more a painted pansy than a passionate lover, Valentino's vast feminine army is proving its loyalty remains unshaken. More than 100,000 faithful, including the mysterious lady in black, paid tribute at his open coffin. Actress Pola Negri, reported inconsolable, sends 4,000 roses. Many suicide attempts have also been reported proving Valentino's hypnotic spell no less powerful in death than it was on the love steamed screen.
