Legendary aviatrix Amelia Earhart is reported missing. The director of 3 aeronautical companies, she was the first woman to cross the Atlantic, and in 1932, the first woman to cross it solo, in record time. Later Miss Earhart also set a solo record between NY and Los Angeles. All to show, in her words that "this type of travel is comparatively safe and ought to be developed". But, on the last leg of her world tour between New Guinea and Honolulu, evidently - not safe enough. Two radio amateurs pick up a faint signal indicating she is low on fuel, the last trace the world would know of Amelia Earhart, lost over the Pacific this point of time, July 2nd, 1937.
