On June 14, 1951 - Remington Rand introduced Univac, the first commercial large scale business computer. It's first customer - the U.S. Census Bureau. Twenty years later, all the power of the giant UNIVAC was equaled by a single microprocessor composed of tiny silicon chips . In the 1970's, micro-technology revolutionized science and industry. Microchips could construct a sewing machine to make intricate designs or guide a missile to its target.
