BEIJING began its week-long culture show at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China, May 4, 2010 by displaying many of its special folk arts at the Baosteel Stage in Zone B of Pudong site, including artists making figures that can play Peking Opera automatically on a gong.

上海世博会开幕后的首个活动周——北京活动周正式启动。北京活动周包括开幕式、花车巡游、非遗展示、庆典广场演出、宝钢大舞台演出、经济推介、生命阳光馆北京残疾人才艺展示等多项活动，将全面展现“魅力首都——人文北京、科技北京、绿色北京”的主题。
