Cirque du Soleil 加拿大太阳马戏团

Cirque du Soleil (English: "Circus of the Sun"), is a Canadian entertainment company, self-described as a "dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment.The Canadian Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai is designed by Cirque du Soleil’s in-house designer.

加拿大的太阳马戏团是一个将马戏表演与街头艺术融合起来的表演团体，在全世界都享有盛名。这次加拿大国家馆的建筑创意也来自太阳马戏团的室内设计师。



Flamenco 西班牙弗拉门戈舞

Flamenco is a style of music and dance which is considered part of the culture of Spain, although it is actually native to only one region: Andalusia. Flamenco is the music of the Andalusian gypsies and played in their social community.

弗拉门戈被视为西班牙传统文化中的一部分，其实起源于西班牙南部的自治区安达卢西亚，是当时吉普赛人跳的一种舞蹈。



London Philharmonic Orchestra 伦敦爱乐乐团

Philharmonic 这个词是什么意思呢？它表示“爱好音乐的”。为什么不用一个简单的music lover，而要用这个看上去很难的单词来表达“热爱音乐”的意思？其实这个单词的前缀phil-意为“喜爱，爱好”，比如philosopher这个词，就有一个这样phil-的前缀，看过《达芬奇密码》的同学应该知道，sophie古意为“智慧”，那么philosopher，哲学家，这个词的本意就是“爱好智慧的人”。同样在这里，Philharmonic的词根harmonic意为“和声的，和弦的”，所以组合起来，就是“爱好音乐的”这个意思啦。
