    2005年1月Bright Eyes同时发表了两张唱片《Digital Ash in a Digital Urn》和《I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning》，听上去并不太一样。我个人更喜欢前者，Connor Oberst在这张里的演唱竟然会让人感觉到Robert Smith的影子。Bright Eyes这些年在独立音乐圈中广受好评，音乐上贯彻的是松弛自省，忧郁感伤的美学概念。与那些上口的Indie-pop相比，Bright Eyes的音乐显得不那么流行。

    Bright Eyes的音乐适合一个人在深夜里聆听，很个人化的氛围与倾诉感。编曲上Bright Eyes采取的是不大类型化的方式，不拘泥于一种格调，而是开放性地吸收各类音乐手段。Connor Oberst的唱腔自然是他们的招牌，悲苦脆弱。
