Simon&Garfunkel 是现代历史上最重要的民谣先驱之一。他们清新纯净的民谣作品将长久的在喜爱的人中闪光。成立于1960年的双人组合结识于参与舞台剧《爱丽丝梦游仙镜》的演出。1964年才于哥伦比亚唱片公司签约。首张专辑《Wednesday Morning,3A.M.》未有太大反响，其中包括后来的盖世名曲"The Sounds Of Silence"，1966年他们为达斯汀·霍夫曼主演的电影《毕业生》创作原声带，主题曲"Mrs.Robinson"与原声带双双夺冠，获得年度唱片和最佳流行唱片两座格莱美奖。1970年专辑《Bridge Over Troubled Water》以及专辑同名曲再次获得排行榜冠军，同时获得格莱美年度专辑、年度唱片、年度歌曲、最佳流行歌曲、最佳重唱歌曲编曲、最佳录音6项荣誉。
