Beyoncé breaks her long silence and finally reveals a few a details about her secret wedding with Jay-Z in an interview with Essence.

"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real," Beyoncé said. She even revealed she didn't want an engagement ring because "people put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me."

The wedding in New York was small and intimate because Beyoncé says she is not a "traditional woman," and didn't want the drama. "It's been my day so many days already," the 27-year-old singer said.

"We've been together a long time," she says. "We always knew it would happen."
