Universal and Illumination Entertainment released the trailer for "Despicable Me 2," the upcoming sequel to the 2010 animated super-villain flick by the same name. Funny guy Steve Carell reprises his role as evil mastermind with a heart of gold, Gru, while Miranda Cosgrove returns as the eldest of his three adopted daughters, Margo. Kristen Wiig and Russell Brand also rejoin the cast to reprise their roles, while Al Pacino pipes in as a villain.

The film opens July 3 and will be followed by a third 3D film - last summer, Universal Studios announced that there will be a spin-off solely about the adorable minions, which will hit theaters on December 19, 2014.
