The South Korean boy band BTS is gearing up to put out a new English single in August.
The band revealed the news of the forthcoming release via a V Live audio livestream, saying that it will be available via streams worldwide August 21.
The seven-member K-pop sensation told fans on the stream that they hoped the 'upbeat' track would create a 'breakthrough' amid the difficult days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The track 'sounded perfect' as is, according to Member V.
On the stream, the band said that they're excited about putting out a new album later this year, which would make two for 2020, as they put out the studio album Map of the Soul: 7 this past February.
防弹少年团（BTS）在直播上说他们很开心能在今年晚些时候发行新专辑，也是2020年发行的第二张专辑（第一张专辑《Map of the Soul: 7》于今年2月份发行）。
'We also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times, so we worked on this new song,' the band said, according to the outlet. 'This is a new challenge for us as well. When we first heard and recorded the song, we were energized and our spirits were lifted up.
'We can't wait to share this song with you all.'
The band, who performed on the Grammys and on The Tonight Show earlier this year, is repped by Big Hit Entertainment, who put out a statement on the band's fan club app WeVerse after the band's livestream.
BTS was primed to play a series of shows in the native South Korea this past April when they canceled the shows in February amid the outbreak of the virus, which has grinded the musical touring industry to a halt with the enhanced risk of infection amid large gatherings of people.
