甜甜圈是怎么产生的呢?

History of Donuts
Donuts have been around for hundreds of years. In 1847 Elizabeth Gregory of New England made a circular treat called “Oily Cakes” for her seafaring son Captain Hanson Gregory. But Oily Cakes had one big problem – the center never completely cooked. So Mother Gregory filled the center with Hazelnuts and sent her creation off to sea with her son. What she forgot was that Captain Hanson hated Hazelnuts and poked out the nasty nut before eating – creating the modern donut! Since that time the donut has taken a life of its own and become one of our most popular breakfast treats.

Donut Ingredients
The materials you'll need to create your own tasty morsels are: 1 cup of milk ,2 eggs, 2 tbsp butter, 2 cups of buttermilk, baking mix, a frying pan filled with canola oil sweet, toppings of your choice

Mix the Donut Dough
Mix 1 cup of milk in a bowl with 2 eggs. Add 2 cups of Buttermilk Baking Mix and mix until smooth. Stir in 2 Tbsp of melted butter and continue to mix until firm.

Roll and Shape the Donuts
Place the dough on a floured surface and Knead 3 to 4 times. Roll out the dough until it's 1/2” thick. Use a new – clean kitchen sink stopper to cutout the round shape. Push the end of the stopper to popout the hole. Captain Hanson would have been proud!

Fry the Donuts
Pop the dough into a frying pan filled with Canola Oil. Turn several times to cook evenly. When both sides are a light brown, remove the donut from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain off the remaining oil residue.

Flavor the Donuts
Add icing, cinnamon, sugar sprinkles... Or just eat them au natural.
