今天就来好好盘点下常见的over短语。

1. get over

意思是从（疾病或令人不快的事）中恢复过来，搭配的宾语可以是人或物。

She was only just getting over the flu when she got a stomach bug.
她流感刚要好，又得了胃病。

It took her months to get over Michael when he ended the relationship.
迈克尔和她分手了，过了好几个月她才开始忘掉他。

2. look over sth

英语释义是quickly examine something，意思是（快速）查看，检查。

I had a few minutes before the meeting to look over what he'd written.
开会前我有几分钟的时间看一眼他写的东西。

3. pull over

意思是（车辆）驶到路边，其实这就是靠边停车哦！

Just pull over here, and I'll get out and walk the rest of the way.
就在这儿停车吧，剩下的路我下车自己走。

4. think sth over

意思是（作决定前）认真考虑，也就是consider carefully。

I'll think it over and give you an answer next week.

5. take (sth) over

这个短语有两个意思，第一是接任；接手（职位）：

He took over from the previous headmaster in February.
他2月份接手了前任校长的工作。

第二是接管，收购（公司）：

The company he works for has recently been taken over.

6. hand sth over

这是把…交给，把…送交，比如：

We were ordered to hand over our passports.

而handover是名词，表示（控制权或责任的）移交。
