A solar flare erupted from the sun in an impressive display captured by NASA cameras. NASA says the flare peaked on Tuesday and created a large cloud that appeared to cover almost half the surface of the sun.

And the torch for the 2012 London Olympics has been revealed, a golden aluminum tube with 8,000 mesh-like holes that represents the number of torchbearers and miles it will travel in the 70-day relay across Britain.
