　　Step 1   Learning about the School: attending an Introductory Meeting or School Visit

　　申请人（学生）家长如与我校的教学理念和教育方法具有共识，认同我校宗旨和理念，并能长期支持双语双文化教育，请与我校招生部联络，安排参加周末校长见面会或平日参观学校。

　　We expect parents to support the YK Pao School educational philosophy and teaching approach. We welcome the parents who are open-minded, share our School’s educational philosophy and are prepared to support bilingual education. Please make an appointment with the Admissions Office to arrange Introductory Meeting or School Visit.

　　请在我校网站下载入学申请表或向招生部索取入学申请表（复印有效），将所要求的资料和申请表一起交给招生部。

　　Please download the Application Form from our website or request it from our Admissions Office. Submit the required documents together with the Application Form to the Admissions Office.

　　* 报名截止日Applications for entry into the 2012-2013 Academic Year:

　　2012-2013 学年一年级新生报名截止日为2012年1月31日。

　　转学生面试定在2011年10月，12月，2012年3日，6月。具体请咨询学生处。

　　Year 1:  applications for entry at this level must be received by 31 January 2012.

　　Transfer students:   Interviews will be held either in October and December 2011, and March and June 2013.

　　申请人（学生）家长要与我校的教学理念和教育方法具有共识，认同我校宗旨和理念，并能长期支持双语双文化教育。请与我校招生部联络，安排参加校长见面会。为了方便家长，见面会通常安排在周末。我们欢迎家长来学校参观。参观一般安排在周二，周三，周四上午，敬请预约。欢迎家长浏览我校网站或致电/电邮咨询具体时间。

　　We expect parents to support our educational philosophy and teaching approach. We welcome parents who are open-minded, share our School’s educational philosophy and are prepared to support the bilingual education programme at our school. Please contact us to arrange an appointment with the Admissions Office. Normally Introductory Meetings by the Principals are conducted on weekends. You are welcome to visit our School for a tour on morning of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Please check our website or contact us for more information.

　　学生/家长面谈 Student Assessment / Parent Interview

　　申请的学生要参加学校的面谈和测试，进一步了解我校是否适合您的孩子教育发展需求。根据学生面谈情况，部分申请人家长会在学生面谈后被邀请面谈。

　　We would like to meet each potential student to see whether the School is suited to his/her educational needs. Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange this. Some parents will be invited for interview following the interview of their child.

　　对家长期望 Expectation to Parents

　　父母需要认同包玉刚实验学校的教育理念和教育方式，能够长期支持双语双文化教育，并能阅读、理解学校的中英文信函。家长和孩子都需要建立电子邮件账户和能够使用互联网。

　　Parents should recognize and be willing to cooperate with the School’s philosophy and methodology, and they should be prepared for a long term commitment to supporting their child’s bilingual education. Parents are expected to have a high enough level of Chinese and/or English that they can receive correspondence in both languages from the School. Parents and children are also required to have email and internet access.

　　录取通知 Acceptance

　　在学校有名额的前提下，我们会录取合格的学生。录取和新生注册时间会以电邮和书面形式通知家长。申请人如未被录取，可能会被列入学校的等候名单，一旦学校有名额，我们会立刻通知家长。

　　Successful students will be accepted, provided that a space is available.  Parents will be notified by e-mail and a written Acceptance Notice will be mailed. Students who are not accepted at this time may be placed on the waiting list until a space becomes available.

　　学额确认 Placement Confirmation

　　学生如被录取, 请按录取通知书和财务部通知的时间确认学额。按时支付了保证金(不可退回，不可转让) 的学生才能被确认取得学额，并可以参加开学前的各项活动；没有按时支付保证金其名额将被取消。

　　Parents need to confirm their place at YK Pao School by paying the Place Reservation Deposit indicated in the Payment note from the Finance Office. This deposit is non refundable and non transferable. Students will receive a notice from the School with regard to activities before the start of the term. If the applicant fails to pay the deposit in time, the applicant’s place will be withdrawn.
