This implied that his surveillance equipment could pick up a lot of information, information about what was going on about the club business. More importantly, there would be information about the club manager's mostly hidden side business. What was really going on behind the club facade was what Doug was seeking. From his source, Doug had an idea of what was going on behind closed doors. What he was searching for was concrete proof.
