06月24日:I know you were only playing possum.我知道你只是假装睡着。

possum:装睡;装病;装傻;装死
例如:The prisoner plays possum again.(那个犯人再次装死。)
          Bob played possum when the teacher looked around.(这老师四下环顾时,鲍伯便端坐不动。)

06月25日:That excuse doesn't hold water.那个借口根本站不住脚。

water:站得住脚;合情合理;说得通
例如:I'm afraid that argument doesn't hold water.(恐怕那个论点是站不住脚的。)
          Your story just doesn't hold water.(你说的不合情理。)

06月26日:Birds of a feather flock together.物以类聚。

1.flock:v. 群集,成群结队而行
例如:People flocked to see her.(人们成群结队地去看她。)
          Huge numbers of birds had flocked together by the lake.(成群的鸟聚集在湖畔。)

例如:From now on they could count on us.(从今以后,他们尽可信赖我们。)
