06月24日：I know you were only playing possum.我知道你只是假装睡着。

possum：装睡；装病；装傻；装死
例如：The prisoner plays possum again.（那个犯人再次装死。）
          Bob played possum when the teacher looked around.（这老师四下环顾时，鲍伯便端坐不动。）

06月25日：That excuse doesn't hold water.那个借口根本站不住脚。

water：站得住脚；合情合理；说得通
例如：I'm afraid that argument doesn't hold water.（恐怕那个论点是站不住脚的。）
          Your story just doesn't hold water.（你说的不合情理。）

06月26日：Birds of a feather flock together.物以类聚。

1.flock：v. 群集，成群结队而行
例如：People flocked to see her.（人们成群结队地去看她。）
          Huge numbers of birds had flocked together by the lake.（成群的鸟聚集在湖畔。）

06月27日：Don't take it to heart.别往心里去。

1.take it to heart：放在心上
例如：I just made a joke without thinking. Please don't take it to heart.（刚才我随口说了句开玩笑的话，你千万别介意。）
          He said that in a fit of anger. Don't take it to heart. （这是他气头上说的话，你不要在意。）

06月28日：I don't know for sure.我不太确定。

sure：肯定地，确实地
例如：No one knows for sure what happened to Bill.（没有人确切知道比尔出了什么事。）
          You'd have made the battery at the university for sure.（在大学里，你必定是个好投手。）

06月29日：You can always count on him for good advice.你总是可以指望他给出好建议。

1.count on：依靠，指望
例如：From now on they could count on us.（从今以后，他们尽可信赖我们。）
          We could count on benevolent understanding.（我们可以指望得到善意的谅解。）

06月30日：I'm not used to drinking.我不习惯喝酒。

1.be used to doing：习惯于
例如：You must be used to dealing with foreigners.（你一定很习惯和外国人交往。）
          He is used to working hard.（他习惯于艰苦工作。）
