05月14日：She is the spitting image of her mother.她酷似她母亲。 

ng image：简直一模一样的人
例如： The heroine is the spitting image of the author.（书中女主人翁是作者的真实写照。）
           That man is the spitting image of Ronald Reagan. He must be very proud.（那个人和里根像是一个模子打出来的，他一定很引以为傲。）

05月15日：The girl cried her eyes out when the lollipop dropped on the ground.棒棒糖掉在地上后，女孩开始嚎啕大哭。

one's eyes out：痛哭不止，哭得死去活来
例如：When his favorite duck died, my son cried his eyes out.（当我儿子心爱的鸭子死了时，他十分伤心地哭个不停。）

1.at large：一般说来，整体上，详尽地，充分地
例如：The question was discussed at large.（这个问题已经详细地讨论过了。）
          The people at large are hoping for great change.（人们都希望有一些大的变革。）

05月18日： She is one of those larger than life characters.她是那种非常引人注目的人。

ter：n. 人物，性格，特性，特征
例如：Sports help to train a person's character.（运动有助于锻炼人们的性格。）
          It may be the character of his mind to be always in singular need of occupation.（时常必须专心工作，这或许是他的心理的特性。）

05月19日：We are just a stone’s throw away from the cinema.我们离电影院只有一箭之遥。

1.a stone’s throw：一箭之遥，很短的距离
例如：His dormitory is within a stone's throw distance.（他的宿舍就在近处。）
          The hotel claims to be a stone's throw from the beach.（那家饭店声称离海滨很近。）

1.a head：一个人；一个头的高度
