Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November;
All the rest have thirty-one
February twenty-eight alone,--------

January brings the snow,
Makes our feet and fingers glow（发光；发白）.

February brings the rain,
Thaws（融化，解冻） the frozen lake again.

March brings breezes, loud and shrill（强烈的，坚声的）,
To stir the dancing daffodils.

Apil brings the primrose（报春花，樱草花） sweet,
Scatters daisies（雏菊） at our feet.

May brings flocks of pretty lambs
Skipping（跳，蹦） by their fleecy（羊毛状的） dams.

June brings tulips（郁金香）, lilies（百合花）, roses,
Fills the children's hands with posies(花束）.

Hot July brings cooling showers,
Apricots（杏，杏树） and gilliflowers（紫罗兰花；桂竹花）.

August brings the sheaves of corn,
Then the harvest home is borne.

Warm September brings the fruit;
Sportsmen then begin to shoot.

Fresh October brings the pheasant（雉，野鸡）;
Then to gather nuts is pleasant.

Dull November brings the blast（疾风，狂风）;
Then the leaves are whirling fast.

Chill December brings the sleet（冻雨，雨夹雪）,
Blazing fire（旺火）, and Christmas treat.
