You have a choice

由你选择

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important.

今日清晨，我早早醒来，想到午夜钟声敲响前将做的一切，激动不已。我有责任让今日过的充实，我很重要。

My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

我的工作就是选择，选择将如何度过每一日。

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

今日阴雨连绵，我可以怨天尤人，我也可以大感快慰，因为草地得以免费浇灌。

Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money or I can be glad that my finance encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

今日囊中羞涩，我可以郁闷难过，我也可以高兴快活，因为这使我得以理性消费，从而远离浪费。

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

今日健康不佳，我可以牢骚满腹，我也可以欢呼雀跃，因为我依然活在世上。

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

今日想起成长岁月中父母给予太少，我可以悲叹不已，我也可以感激万分，因为他们赋予了生命。

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

今日因玫瑰茎上有刺，我可以呜咽哭泣，我也可以欢心庆贺，因为有刺的茎上也有玫瑰花。

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

今日因缺朋少友，我可以哀伤悲痛，我也可以兴奋不已，因为我能去发掘新的感情关系。

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

今日不得不工作，我可以哭诉抱怨，我也可以高声欢呼，因为我起码还有工作可做。

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

今日不得不做家务，我可以唉声叹气，我也可以倍感荣幸，因为上帝赐予我这个避风港湾，让我休憩身体，慰藉心灵。

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

今日在我面前展开，等我去塑造。而我正是它的雕刻师，来赋予它某种形状。

What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have.

今日如何，由我定夺。今日如何度过，由我来选择！
