Notes:电影改编自小说可以用book-to-film adaptation或者be adapted from表示。例：

Pride and Prejudice is adapted from the famous English novel written by Jane Austin.
电影《傲慢与偏见》改编自简·奥斯汀著名的英文小说。

3. IMAX is prevailing now. I just bought two tickets of that box-office science fiction movie.
巨幕现在很流行。我刚买了两张那部卖座的科幻片的电影票。

4. He’s such a softie that a tearjerker suits him best.
他很感性，催人泪下的电影很适合他。

Notes: tearjerker的意思是“催人热泪的电影或戏剧”，softie指人很感性，很心软，热心肠。例：

No need to be afraid of your boss. She’s a real softie.
没必要害怕你的老板，她是个热心肠的人。

5. The animated movie Moana is a big hit of this year, so is The Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
动画电影《海洋奇缘》是今年的热门影片，《神奇动物在哪里》也大获成功。

Notes: a big hit表示热门，大获成功。

6. I saw the preview of the movie yesterday and found its adventurous plot engrossing.
