Here you can not only buy new books, but also sit in a comfortable sofa or chair, reading your favorite books and magazines while enjoying music, food and drinks. When you feel tired, you can take a nap any time you want.

A: Most of the book bars are bustling hives of literary activity, where lectures, forums and salons are regularly held at weekends and holidays. Their good atmosphere and services are a great draw to book lovers. Many people would bury themselves among piles of books for a whole day.

B: For book lovers, the book bars are definitely wonderful places to go. But for those who are seeking novel ways of hanging out with friends, the board game bar is becoming a fashionable choice.

A: Board games are popular in many countries. China also has some traditional table games like mahjong, chess and checkers. But today they are considered games for the elderly and hold little interest for the young.

A: In the past two years, more and more popular foreign board games have been imported, and at the same time, many new board games have been developed in China. They are drawing more and more urbanites from computer games to the board game bars.

B: One month ago, the first government-backed gay bar on the Chinese mainland opened in the city of Dali in southern China's Yunnan province.

A: The bar is run by a local NGO for HIV/AIDS prevention. The bar's manager, Zhang Jianbo, is the founder and head of the organization. He says the bar will not be operated for purely commercial purposes, rather it will serve as a platform to raise awareness in the gay community about AIDS.

B: Our lifestyle is changing everyday, and trends come and go all the time. Some once popular theme bars finally became outdated and disappeared, while new theme bars are constantly emerging to enrich people's lives and the Chinese bar culture.
