After making their food and drink selection, the interior and designer and the club manager sat at the table in the VIP and waited for the meal to arrive. The designer carried on small talk with the manager, talking about how business had been going. He was trying to read the manager, seeing if he could pick up a hint as to the phone call the manager received. Of course, it had to be business-related. It was just that the designer was trying to figure out what type of business was involved.
