    The Fray乐队风格与英国的Coldplay和Keane相似，The Fray是新一批乐坛新兴血液中受英式乐队（诸如Coldplay和Keane）影响较深的一支，也保留了美国90年代传统摇滚Counting Crows和the Wallflowers的气质，还有点Jimmy Eat World这种EMO乐队的冲劲。
    在2005年的9月终于推出了首张专辑《How to Save a Life》，而之前的单曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》则最早出现在电影原声大碟《Stealth》之中。专辑中的主打歌曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》无疑是一首值得多听几遍的歌曲。而标题歌曲《How to Save a Life》来得更加的抒情，开场的钢琴绝对让人沉醉，能够立即抓住人心，歌曲也在很大程度上和《Over My Head (Cable Car)》打成平手，专辑在美国本土卖了150万张，在BILLBOARD专辑榜上更是排到了前12名的位置。
