词汇的复习和记忆很多同学采取的都是自己的一套老方法——死记硬背，这点能起到效果，那也只是暂时的，没有长效性，因为我们没有学会应用。只知道词汇意思所在，不能举一反三灵活应用，这点其实非常可怕。应用才是硬道理。这些考研英语高频词汇是不能忽略的。

1. confidence

n.     信心; 信任; 秘密;

adj.  骗得信任的; 欺诈的;

[例句]I have every confidence in you.

我完全相信你。

2. confront

vt.    面对; 使面对面，使对质; 碰到，遇到; 比较;

[例句]She was confronted with severe money problems.

她面临严峻的资金问题。

3. contrast

n.      对比，对照; 差异; 对照物，对立面; [摄]反差;

[例句]The two visitors provided a startling contrast in appearance.

这两位访客的外表截然不同。

4. conventional

adj.  传统的; 习用的，平常的; 依照惯例的; 约定的;

[例句]It is simpler and quicker to use than conventional methods.

这比通常的做法更简单、更快捷。

5. criminal

n.     罪犯，犯人;

adj.  犯罪的; 刑事的; 可耻的;

[例句]A group of gunmen attacked a prison and set free nine criminals in Moroto.

一伙持枪歹徒袭击了莫罗托的一所监狱，放走了9名罪犯。

6. crisis

[例句]Natural disasters have obviously contributed to the continent's economic crisis.

很显然，自然灾害也是造成该大陆经济危机的原因之一。

7. critic

8. current

adj.  现在的; 最近的; 流行的; 流传的;

n.     电流; 趋势; 水流; 涌流;

[例句]Under normal conditions, the ocean currents of the tropical Pacific travel from east to west.

在正常情况下，太平洋的热带洋流自东向西流。

9. cycle

n.    循环，周期; 自行车; 时代，一段时间; 整套;

vi.   周而复始，循环; 骑自行车; 轮转;

vt.   运转，循环; 使轮转;

[例句]The seasons of the year make a cycle.

一年四季构成一个循环。

10. define

vt.    规定; 使明确; 精确地解释; 画出…的线条;

vi.    （给词、短语等）下定义，构成释义;

[例句]We were unable to define what exactly was wrong with him.

我们说不清楚他到底哪里不对劲。

11. deprive

vt.    剥夺，夺去，使丧失;

12. derive

13. deserve

15. diminished

vi.     变小或减少; 逐渐变细;

[例句]The threat of nuclear war has diminished.

核战争的威胁已经减小了。

16. disappear

vi.     不见，消失; 不复存在，灭绝;

[例句]The black car drove away from them and disappeared.

那辆黑色轿车驶离了他们的视线。
