一名犯罪嫌疑人在河北省某县看守所羁押期间被同监室人员逼迫大量喝凉水致残事件经当地媒体披露后，“牢头狱霸”、“躲猫猫”再次成为社会关注的焦点。近日，有消息称另有两个在押疑犯曾在该看守所暴毙，并由当地公安出钱“协商解决”。

因“牢头狱霸”致两名在押犯人死亡，另有一名严重致残，河北一看守所监管人员目前正在接受调查。

上面的报道中，jailhouse bully 指在监狱里横行霸道的“牢头狱霸”，他们的行为 bullying 指 the act of intentionally causing harm to others, through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of coercion such as manipulation（通过语言骚扰、身体攻击或者威胁恐吓等不易被察觉的手段故意伤害别人的行为）。

虽说现在是法治社会，但各种各样的 bully（恶霸）还是不少见，比如：workplace bully（办公室恶霸），school bully（校园恶霸），neighborhood bully（地头蛇）等。随着网络的普及，还适时地出现了 cyber-bully（网霸）呢。
