Doug was not aware of the brightening sky, not until the first rays of the rising sun came through the window and refracted. From his peripheral vision, he could see light shimmering. Thinking it was the rising sun, he paid it no mind. All Doug knew was that he had to work even faster. His eyes were strained, but not enough to bother him. He closed his eyes briefly and pressed on the bridge of his nose. In the few hours he had, Doug managed to narrow it down to a small batch of files.
