这两天， 一个在北京的外国小伙“一镜到底”自拍了一段解读中国两会的视频。

这位小哥创意十足，从自家厨房到天安门广场，再到前门大街“瞬间移动”（“tele-transported”），边走边侃自己对两会的理解。

视频里，他对中国全国人民代表大会的解读和引用中国哲学思想的方式都十分地道。

据了解，这位小哥名叫格雷格·方丹（Gregory Fountain），来自英国约克郡（Yorkshire, UK），一个月前来到北京。

短短一月，他已经逛遍北京胡同，还去动物园看了向往已久的大熊猫。

但最近，他开始频繁听到“两会”这个热词，这成功引起了他的好奇心。

于是，他决定搞清楚什么是“两会”，然后做了一段特殊的视频，跟像他一样的外国人解释。

我们来看看他的一些解读

▷关于两会：

It is known among Chinese people as “Liǎnghuì”, which means the “two sessions”, the National People’s Congress (or NPC) and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). 
这就是两会，中国每年最重要的政治活动之一，包括了全国人民代表大会和全国人民政治协商会议。

▷关于全国人民代表大会：

The NPC, with its 3,000 or so deputies, has the power to supervise other national organs of state and ensure that the government runs in accordance with the will of the people.
这其中，近3000名全国人大代表的被赋予权力依照人民的意愿来监督国家权力机构。

It is these deputies who have the power and responsibility to ensure China makes the right decisions.
这些代表就是有责任确保这个国家做出正确决定的人。

From amending and supervising the enforcement of the Constitution, to electing the president, the NPC and its Standing Committee has guaranteed that state power is always held by the people.
从通过修订和监督宪法的执行，到选举国家主席，中国的全国人大及其常委会保证了国家权力被人民掌控。

▷关于人大代表：

Its deputies come from all walks of life, they are scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, migrant workers, doctors, artists and civil servants, to name just a few.
全国人大代表来自各行各业。举例来说，有科学家、教师、企业家、农民工、医生、艺术家和公务员。

There are deputies who represent the interests of millions of farmers amid China’s rapid urbanization.
他们中间，既有在中国加速城镇化过程中代表数亿农民利益的人大代表。

And there is a deputy from the Lhoba ethnic group who works to protect the culture of her people, who number fewer than 3,000.
也有来自不足三千人口的珞巴族代表，致力于保护其本族文化。

Because they come from the grass-roots level of Chinese society, the deputies truly know what life is like in their respective regions.
因为来自社会基层，他们真正了解所属选区的真实生活。

看来这位小哥真的做足了功课了，解说起来一点不含糊……

了解完两会，方丹说他已经等不及去继续探索中国了。
