美国最大的演艺人员工会组织“美国演员工会”（SAG）6 月 9 日晚正式宣布，工会成员当天以压倒性多数投票通过新合同。此举意味着险些酿成大罢工的好莱坞劳资纠纷落幕。

The Screen Actors Guild said Tuesday that 78 percent of voting members decided to ratify a two-year contract covering movies and prime-time TV shows made by the major Hollywood studios.

“美国演员工会”于本周二表示，78％ 的投票者支持最新达成的合同。新合同为期两年，涵盖好莱坞各大制作商制作的电影以及黄金档电视节目等内容。

上面的报道中，prime-time TV shows 就是“黄金档电视节目”。prime time 指 the block of a day's programming schedule with the most viewers and is generally where television networks and local stations reap much of their advertising revenues（电视观众最多、而且也是电视网络和当地电视台广告收益最多的电视节目时间段），即“黄金时段”，很多地方都将晚间 8 点到 11 点定为“黄金时段”，而该时段的收视率则是 prime-time ratings。

晚间的电视播出时段除了最抢手的 prime time 以外，其余的时间段叫做 non-prime time（非黄金时段），也叫 fringe time（边缘时段）。细分一下的话，在 prime time 之前的那个时段叫做 early fringe（傍晚时段），而过了 prime time以后进入深夜的时段则叫做 late fringe（夜间时段）。
