世博网6月12日消息：随着上海世博会甘肃宣传周的举办，世博热在西部地区逐渐升温，友好使者、上海世博会吉祥物“海宝”也在兰州的大街小巷频频亮相。今天下午，上海世博会吉祥物“海宝”入甘仪式举行。甘肃省委常委、组织部部长侯长安与上海市副市长胡延照共同为“海宝”塑像揭幕。揭幕仪式由上海世博局国内参展顾问黄耀诚主持。

上海世博会吉祥物“海宝”以汉字的“人”作为核心创意，既反映了中国文化的特色，又揭示了美好生活要靠你我共创的理念。自2007年12月揭晓以来，深受民众喜爱，至今已亮相40多个城市，成为一道独特的风景线。在甘肃的中川机场、兰州大学以及兰州市中心，都能发现“海宝”活泼俏皮的身影，市民们争相与“海宝”合影留念，兰州大学的毕业生们也欣然将校园生活的最后场景定格在“海宝”的身边。

Students of the Lanzhou University in northwest China's Gansu Province yesterday attended an Expo-themed lecture, part of the week-long Expo 2010 national promotional campaign.

Huang Yaocheng, counselor for national participation with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, elaborated on the history and significance of world expositions and why China was chosen to host the 2010 Expo in his lecture. He also provided guidance on what could be expected at the Shanghai Expo.
