1991年，影片《罗宾汉》的成功也使一位摇滚歌星从此广为人知，他就是布莱恩·亚当斯。影片的主题曲“Everything I Do,I Do It for you”成了一首红极一时的流行金曲，而MTV中布莱恩·亚当斯手抱电吉它在森林中演唱的形象也从此深入人心。“Everything I Do,I Do It For You”推出后，在美国的单曲排行榜上连续七周居第一，并在15 周内就创造了300万张的巨额销量。而其所在专辑，《唤醒邻居》（Waking Up The Neighbors）也获得了十分出色的成绩。

原唱歌手布莱恩-亚当斯是八十年代崛起的最受欢迎的摇滚歌手之一，他制作了一系列白金唱片并多次入围十大流行歌曲排行榜。在他演唱生涯的最初阶段，他主要唱摇滚歌曲，随着事业的进展，他却以民歌而广为人知。起初，亚当斯为加拿大几个摇滚歌手作词作曲。1981年他与A&M唱片公司签约，发行了他的独唱专辑，但是该专辑未能进入排行榜。1982年，他的第二张专辑进入美国排行榜。
1983年，他的专辑Cuts Like a Knife给他带来财源滚滚。其中的民歌"Straight from the Heart"在专辑发行前进入十大流行歌曲排行榜。
1984年底亚当斯充满激情、用中速演唱的歌曲"Run to You"是他第二首进入十大流行歌曲排行榜的单唱曲；这首歌也首次进入英国排行榜，排在第十一位。
1991年，亚当斯为电影《罗宾逊》演唱的主题曲("Everything I Do) I Do It for You"获得巨大成功，连续七周名列美国排行榜之首；而在英国，它连续十五周位居排行榜之首。 1992年，亚当斯的专辑So Far, So Good发行，其中的民歌"Please Forgive Me"进入十大流行歌曲排行榜。
