Episode Overview

Blair puts preassure for Georgina to making amends for her past bad behavior by helping her in an evil plan. The rivalry between Nate and Chuck over Blair reaches a boiling point. Lily makes a secret plan to help Rufus with Dan's college tuition.

Dan: Well, it looks like we're not gonna have to wait until next fall for Serena to ditch. She's skipping brunch.
Rufus: Oh, I'd really hoped we'd all be together.
Dan: Y... you know what? Let me see what I can do. I mean, she's generally not a morning person, but show up with a bone dry cappuccino, and she'll pretty much follow you anywhere.

ditch: to get away from (a person, especially a companion).
a morning person: 早起的人
bone dry cappuccino: 卡布基诺咖啡的一种，常规的做法1/3 牛奶, 1/3 奶泡, 1/3 espresso，而bone dry是只有奶泡和espresso, 而没有牛奶。cappuccino的分类大家可以看下面：1.) Wet: No foam, all milk, and espresso 2.) Dry: More foam than milk and espresso 3.) Bone Dry: All Foam, no milk, and espresso 4.) Regular: 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam, 1/3 espresso

Dan: Gabriel is a con artist. His... his investment was a scam. He took all the money for himself, including my Dad's. 
Lily: Oh, my god.
Dan: Yeah. Uh, Serena thinks she can somehow sweet-talk him into giving everything back, but I mean, r... seriously, I... I don't think Blair and Chuck can scheme their way out of this one.  

con artist: con是confidence的缩写，confidence artist或者confidence man指的就是诈骗犯。这个单词最早出现在对一个叫做William Thompson的审判中。Thompson常常和陌生人搭讪，直到骗取他们信任，接着就问他们是否信任他并把他们的手表交给他(if they had the confidence to lend him their watches)，之后他就拿着手表走人。后来是有一个之前的受害者在路上认出了他，他才被绳之以法的。
scam: 和con一样，都表示骗局，诈骗的意思。另外还可以说：swindle, grift, bunko 或者flim flam
sweet-talk someone into: 甜言蜜语，连哄带骗说服某人

Gabriel: Serena, I swear to you, in the beginning, you were just a mark. And your mom... Bart Bass' widow... was gonna be our big score. But then my... then my feelings for you got in the way of that.

mark: 容易被骗的人，通常是一个骗局里的初级目标，骗子就靠他来接近终极目标。
score: 这里就是目标，猎物的意思
get in the way of: 阻碍事情的发展

Gabriel: Then you called me this morning. She thought you made me. 
Chuck: Smart girl.
Gabriel: Yeah. She said we had to end it now. She offered to buy me out so I could leave.

make: 拆穿，发现
buy out: 付钱买断某人的权利或者地位
