Steven: The another question, what role does opera play in Italian daily life, is it like Beijing Opera in China?
Giorgia: I think it’s similar but different at the same time. Of cause they all use many dresses and make-ups. It’s more about the voice and acting, in Italy, it’s a very old tradition. But the new generation is not too much involved in this. It’s more classic and for a special group of people. This is why I am not only sing in opera, because I want to sing for a large audience. But in Italy, singing is one part of our culture, many people have beautiful voice and sing when they feel happy.
Steven: What is a normal day like for you? What kind of the arrangement of the whole day is supposed to be healthy?
Giorgia: When I don’t work, if I was in Canada, I will wake up at 9:30 or 10:00. I love to sing in my home, I live in a beautiful place which was surrounding by trees and lakes. I love animal, so I spent a lot of time with my animals. Sometimes I cook, but I am not a good cook, I am vegetarian. It’s lucky for me to be in China, the food here is very healthy. I love tea, rice and vegetable. I do yoga when I can, dress very comfortable, not do make up. I do very simple things. I like to hang out with my friends. If I was in Italy, I will be with my family, spent more time with them.
Steven: What other places you like to visit in China?
Giorgia: It’s quiet far, especially from Canada about twenty hours, 12 hours jetlag. From Italy six hours jetlag. I really love all Asia countries. I love to know more and more about this culture and connect more with the people. I think Italian and Chinese are very nice people, they care more about their family and friends. I hope to be friends with Chinese people. I hope to learn some Chinese, maybe live here. I love to discover more about this country.
