背景介绍:

A record of 6.99m students are graduating from universities; and employers’ recruiting quota(配额) is 15% less than previous years. These two factors are making this year’s graduate employment situation worse. Reports show that by the end of April, less than 30% of students graduating from universities in Beijing and Shanghai found employment. The bleak(暗淡的) outlook for employment has resulted in many calling 2013 the “toughest job-hunting year”.

话题:

What are the reasons behind the difficulty in finding employment?

范例1:

There are still several other aspects relevant to this issue. In a sense, however, it is not why it exists but what we should do that counts a lot. Fortunately, a good sign has showed up that the government department concerned(政府有关部门) has stressed the promotion of equality in college graduates’ employment. All kinds of efforts should be called for to build a sensible, healthy atmosphere in which students can enjoy their career to the uttermost. For one thing, people from different quarters of the society are supposed to take the responsibility of helping graduates become socialized and professional. For another, notwithstanding that(尽管) the climate looks gloomy, the employees are expected to broaden their range of knowledge and deepen their faith. After all, “hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies.”

范例2:

Above all, economic recession and incompetence of students result in their failure to secure a job. Also, if graduate students aim lower and learn harder, situation will be better, for what is universally acknowledged--Ability speaks louder than luck.

范例3:

To sum up, from what has been discussed above, the expansion of college enrollment, high demand of skilled workers and bleak outlook of economy are the reasons causing the ever toughest employment situation. Despite the external negative factors, as a college student, we still need to focus on our study of professional courses so as to be more competitive in the job market, just as an old saying goes, "Study is like sailing against the current; either you keep forging ahead or you keep falling behind".

范例4:

Although faced with the "toughest job-hunting year", and the situation may become worse in next few years, we must have the strong belief to be an intrepid hunter, for "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself", as Franklin D. Roosevelt once claimed facing the Great Depression, during which thousands were jobless.
