A new suspected case of a person infected with H7N9 bird flu has been reported in southern China’s Guangdong province.

The provincial Department of Health says a woman from Huizhou city has tested positive for the virus in initial tests. The 51-year-old is a poultry seller and has contacted with live poultry. She is in a critical condition in intensive care. Blood samples have been submitted to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmation.
