Hello everyone, welcome to Xiaoming Yingyu. I’m your teacher Ming.
It’s great to see all of you again! Why don’t we get started?
In the first section of today’s class, we are going to teach some slang. The slang for today is big mouth, and loud mouth.
今天的第一部分，要跟大家讲一些俚语。今天的俚语是big mouth和loud mouth。
Let’s work on them one by one.
Big Mouth is used to describe someone who talks too much.
When there are a lot of things coming out of your mouth that shouldn’t you have a big mouth. Big enough that things just come out, even if you don’t want them to.
For example, if someone tells you to keep a secret and you tell the fact anyway, you are a big mouth.
For example, why is Alex telling everybody that Kent is my boyfriend? I told him not to, because I don’t want people to know. He is such a big mouth.
On the other hand, the other word
Loud mouth is someone who is noisy. They are just kind of annoying.
That’s the slang for today.
Famous people: You’ve all heard of Disney, the company that makes all those amazing movies.
But what do you know about the person that started it all? His name is Walt Disney. Mr. Disney was born in Chicago in 1901.
During the early stage of his life, he wanted to be a movie producer or a director but he couldn’t find a job (something I can relate to). So he decided to make animated movies.
Animated movies are also called Cartoons. You probably know this word, because it sounds just like the Chinese word.
It’s basically a series of pictures on a film.
Disney opened his first movie company in the back of an office.
For several years he struggled to earn enough money to pay his expenses. But then Mr. Disney came up with the first cartoon hero. Mickey Mouse!
After he saw a lot of mice running in and out of the building, where he worked, He drew the mouse and then he provided the voice for the character.
The film was, as now we know, a huge success.
Then throughout his career, Mr. Disney created more characters such as our favorites, Donald Duck and Goofy.
Movie experts say Walt Disney was responsible for the development of the art of animation.
Disney’s artists try to put life into every drawing.
In addition to cartoons, Walt Disney produced many movies and television programs with real actors which are called live action.
He also produced movies about wild animals in their natural surroundings. Real or imaginary, all of his programs have similar ideas.
In most of them, innocence, loyalty, and family love are threatened by evil forces.
Sad things sometimes happened but there were always funny incidences and creatures.
Walt Disney died in 1966, but the company he began continues today to help people escape the problems in life through his movies and entertainment parks.
Let’s talk about sentence structure.
Here’s our example:
Using many symbols makes it possible to put a large amount of information on a single map
Using A makes it possible to do B
A and B are both nouns, and you can trade them for any noun you want.
For example, using a telescope makes it possible to see things that are far away in the universe.
Or, using mnemonics makes it possible to memorize things more quickly.
Try to put some words in and create a sentence of your own.Remember, using A makes it possible to do B.
