A host of stars joined some ten thousand fans to mark the day, singing many of Teng’s signature songs. Among the guests was Hong Kong star Kenny Bee, who as a good friend of Teng’s and shot many of her photos. He gave a moving rendition of two of her popular songs, "Love Motto" and "What Do You Say".

The show, titled "Same Song, 1.9 billion Cheers", is the biggest of the concerts commemorating Teng. Over the next year and a half, another 60 concerts will be performed around the world, and will invite different stars to participate.
