A surprising record breaker

A miracle has happened at the Chinese box office. A low-budget (低成本的) film, Lost in Thailand, has become the highest grossing (票房最高的) Chinese film of all time.
中国电影票房出现了一个奇迹。一部低成本的电影《泰囧》，成为中国史上票房最高的电影。

The comedy was made with a budget of 30 million yuan. It opened on December 12 and by December 24 it had made 721 million yuan. It took the crown of the best-selling domestic film (最卖座的国产片) from Painted Skin: The Resurrection (《画皮2：复活》). That film earned 702 million yuan in the summer of 2012.
这部喜剧预算在3千万，它在12月12日上映，直到12月24日已经赚取了7亿2千1百万元。它从《画皮2：复活》手中夺下最卖座的国产片这一头衔，这部电影曾在2012年夏季赚了7亿2百万元。

Lost in Thailand tells the story of three Chinese men, who meet on their trips to Thailand.
《泰囧》讲述了三个在泰国偶遇的中国人之间的故事。

Actor Xu Zheng plays one of the leading roles along with Wang Baoqiang and Huang Bo. Xu is also the director of the film and it’s his first directing work.
演员徐铮、王宝强和黄渤是该影片的主要演员。徐铮也是这部电影的导演，而这也是他首部导演的作品。
