The “friendly” rivalry between Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence may have just been kicked up a notch.

While the two stars have been known to get competitive with each other over movie roles, Jennifer recently hit Kristen where it hurt by bringing up the star’s cheating scandal with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

“Jennifer has a healthy rivalry with Kristen, but she thinks that the cheating scandal she got caught up in could have been avoided,” a source close to the star told Radar Online.

While the Hunger Games star never actually brought up Kristen’s name, she did reportedly mention that she would never cheat on her own boyfriend, British actor Nicholas Hoult, with a sleazy, older director.

“She couldn’t resist having a subtle dig at her rival. She told a group of friends that she would never two-time Nicholas,” the insider said. “Jennifer then went on to say that she has received attention from many older men, especially powerful movie directors in the past, and would never want to jeopardize her career by getting involved with a married man. She was clearly referring to Kristen’s liaison with Rupert.”

Regardless of whether or not Jennifer’s insults really were aimed at Kristen, the competition between the two leading ladies apparently won’t slow down anytime soon.

“Kristen has never been comfortable in her own skin and feels threatened by Jennifer’s good looks. And the thing with Jennifer is, she isn’t just attractive, she’s a talented actor,” the source said. “The pair of them are very competitive too; they won’t give up any future roles without a fight.”
