A sequel to 21 Jump Street is due to begin filming this autumn.

Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad revealed that he hopes to capitalise on Channing Tatum's recent success by getting the picture into production as soon as possible. 

"Yes, we plan to start shooting in the fall," Belgrad told The Hollywood Reporter.

"There are very few actors - I'm going to quote Amy [Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment] - who can do romance, action and comedy. We're in business with two of them, Channing Tatum and Will Smith."

Belgrad went on to say that he plans to shoot a fourth Men in Black film as well.

"We're very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise," he said. "We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done."

21 Jump Street star Jonah Hill credited the success of the film with his real-life friendship with Tatum.

道格·贝尔格莱德引用索尼影业总裁的话说：“很少有演员能同时兼顾浪漫，动作，喜剧等多种类型的影片，查宁·塔图姆和威尔·史密斯（ Will Smith）就是这样的演员。”

道格·贝尔格莱德同时也表示出对《黑衣人4》的兴趣。

“我们对《黑衣人3》（ Men in Black 3）的票房很满意，没有理由不继续，我们有这个计划，但目前还没有清晰的思路。”

乔纳·希尔 （Jonah Hill）和查宁·塔图姆在现实中也是很好的朋友，他们共同创造了《龙虎少年队》良好票房。
